Red Invasion 10 April to 11 April 2009
Saturday Red Invasion was a success despite of the lost of the American Forces to the Red Army.[img][/img]
Great terrain with good scenario objectives. I missed the night fight but the day skirmishes were adrenaline pumping. Quiet a few casualties, mostly related to enviromental factors such as heat exhaustion and people falling on their faces. One thing I want to point out is that some weapons tend to fire much further than expected. Maybe we need to tag all weapons (that had been crono) to discourage people from enhancing their weapons after being crono or maybe subtituting non-crono weapons? Just a thought. Command and Control was fair, but commo used was only 50% reliable. Small squad tactic probably needed to be taught or practice. Giving out prices toward the end was a great way to end the event!! I give this event a 3 star (1-4 rating). Many many thanks to First sword for putting this event together!!

sorry I missed it. after the convention and coming back, I realize that I'd have saved more money, had a little more fun, gotten more out of it, and not been away long enough for my mother to search my room and find all my weapons (real and fake alike) and put them in a box in the shed. I'm mad because of this, but I am super glad to hear that everyone did so well and had a great time.
hopefully next time I actually get to COME PLAY!
anyway... glad to be back.

well, I would think that the gun in his hand is slightly easier to carry. and maybe it's a comp gun. like I have. I think you've seen it, it's a Dboys M4 that fires well enough I don't need to ever upgrade it. that and my F2000 so I can experiment on it with piston upgrades and such. my F2000 can't be upgraded, but I know I can upgrade my M4 when stuff wears out.
but yeah... sorry I missed this event.
tell me, were ACU's mandatory?

The reach of a BB is not only dependent on the spring tension. Actually, the influence of the hop up is the *decisive* factor how far your BBs will fly! If you use 0.2g BBs, *all* of them will drop at around 40-50 ft in regular guns whether you shoot 300 or 400 FPS! I would love to show you a graph, but the website I'm referring to ("Airsoft Trajectory Project") does not exist anymore since the beginning of this year) .
So any distance you can gain will depend on the quality of your hop up system!
The first thing I usually recommend to improve distance and accuracy (!) is to take the hop up unit apart and thoroughly clean it. Especially the hop up sleeve (also called bucking) will benefit tremendously from it. 409 All Purpose Degreaser works very well on the sleeve.
Also, the use of at least 0.25g BBs should be standard with high-powered AEG shooting 350+ FPS. Heavier BBs may have a lower muzzle exit velocity, but travel noticably farther than lighter BBs! I won't go into details here because I posted about this topic so many times on other forums already...
A big exception may be the Tanio Kobayashi barrel: The internal rifling cushions the BBs so well that people have reported distances of 250 ft with only 350 FPS!! I hope to find out soon if this is true or not when my TK barrel arrives within the next few days!
My 2 cents.
