Ole' Bess needs help!
My motor is not engaging. It just clicks. Any thoughts? Happened after I removed and replaced the motor while attempting to discover how to replace the pistol grip.

did you put all the parts back in? did you adjust the adjusting screw on the bottom of the pistol grip? you can over tighten it or have it to loose you have to get it just right

There were only two parts. The motor and the spring, and I put them both back in. I never even touched the adjusting spring, so I can't imagine that it is maladjusted.

Your battery's charged, right? I've been fooled more than once. And did everything go together nice and smooth, no binding up on the wires, ect. ?
Re: Ole' Bess needs help!
Yes, I double checked the batt with my new weapon and it's charged fine. Everything seems to be in there just fine with no hitch in the giddyup. Wires are set in there exactly as the manufacture had them in there.

Sounds weird. Umm... can you access the anti-rev latch, try releasing it. You didn't reverse the wires did you? Does it mater if you put the motor in one way or the other?
Re: Ole' Bess needs help!
I don't think I revered the wires, because of the way that JG put the wires in, the only way to reverse them is if I put the motor in with the label facing the wrong way. I was pretty careful about putting the motor back in the same direction, but that's not to say that I didn't. I'll double check that and get back to you.

It sounds very much like the wires were connected to the motor tabs in a REVERSED order! The red wire has to go to the POSITIVE tab (which sometimes has a red dot) or you can see a (+) sign in that viccinity.

PS: It doesn't matter how you put the motor into the handgrip as long as the polarity is correct.
